Yes. There is no limit to how many Townbase widgets can be installed on a single page. You can combine different widget types — for example, a featured event carousel alongside a filtered category list — to create a rich, fully localised content experience for your visitors.

Townbase widgets support CSS-level overrides including theme variables, font settings, and colour parameters. These can all be managed directly from the widget management window, making it easy to align the widget's appearance with your organisation's brand identity without needing a developer.
Yes. The widget management window gives you control over a range of display and interaction options, including how many content pieces are shown by default, how many load after a "Show More" button (which can be custom labelled), and whether clicking an item opens content in a pop-up, expands inline, or navigates directly to the source page.
Absolutely. Any Townbase widget can be extended into a full search widget with parameters including date-range selectors, category dropdowns, area dropdowns, and predictive search fields. Custom geographic areas can also be added as filtering options, giving local authorities, DMOs, and media publishers granular control over what their audiences can discover.
Data & Content
Townbase widgets can surface any content type supported by the Townbase platform, including events, places, hobbies, articles, activities, and business listings. This makes them suitable not just for event discovery, but for broader community guides, destination portals, and local business directories.
Yes. Townbase widgets display content in real time, meaning that as soon as new events or listings are published on the platform, they are immediately available through any widget embedding that content — no manual refresh or republishing required.
Each widget load displays up to 12 content pieces by default. Users can then load additional content via a "Show More" button. The platform supports unlimited successive loads, so there is no hard cap on how much content a visitor can ultimately browse through.
Yes. Each Widget has a counter for displays and clicks.
Integration & Distribution
Townbase widgets work out of the box with a wide range of web publishing platforms. Drupal, WordPress, LandingRabbit, and many others include native embed fields that detect and render Townbase widgets automatically. For platforms without a native field, any page that supports iframe embeds will work.
No. Townbase widgets are fully public once published. The only requirement is that the host domain is whitelisted in the widget settings — after which visitors can browse all widget content without any authentication.
